In 2016, government data shows Pennsylvania farmers planted more than 2,000 square miles of corn — that’s more land than the total state of Delaware.
It’s so much, you could get lost in it. And during the fall season, there’s plenty of chances to do just that in central Pennsylvania. One of our local corn mazes has even been recognized as one of the best in the nation.
Cherry Crest Farms’ Amazing Maize Maze — in Ronks, Lancaster County — was ranked the fourth best corn maze in the nation by USA Today’s 10Best awards in 2016…
But Lancaster County isn’t the only place to get lost in a field of corn. Here’s four other local options:
- Adams County: Fields of Adventure “Outback Adventure” maze; weekend hours until November with Friday hours starting in October — see fieldsofadventure.com for more details; Smithfield Farms, 64 Tree Lane, Aspers, PA 17304.
- Franklin County: Stoners Dairy Farm; weekend hours through November 5 — see stonersdairyfarm.com for more details; 7678 Oellig Road, Mercersburg, PA 17236.
- Lebanon County: Seyfert’s Corn Maze; Friday-Sunday hours through October 29 — see seyfertscornmaze.com for details; 1800 East King Street, Lebanon, PA 17042.
- York County: Maize Quest “Arabian Nights” maze; Friday-Sunday hours — see mazefunpark.com for details; 2885 New Park Road, New Park, PA 17352.
